MS Science and Engineering Fair Overview

The Region I Mississippi Science and Engineering Fair is an annual event that provides students with the opportunity to showcase their projects and compete with peers across the region. Our mission is to inspire and encourage students to pursue their interests in science and engineering. We believe that every student, regardless of their age or background, has the potential to make a significant contribution to the field. Join us on February 23, 2024, to celebrate the achievements of our young scientists and engineers.

We welcome projects from students across the region and enjoy seeing all of the hard work and dedication put into their projects. Through participating in MSEF, students gain invaluable skills and knowledge “doing science” in much the same way that scientists do science. Having a platform to share their research with others, including professional judges, has been proven to cultivate the curiosity, persistence, and problem-solving skills of the students. Being a part of the Mississippi Science and Engineering Fair will strengthen students’ self-assurance in their capability of becoming the next generation of innovators and leaders in our region, in our state, and in our nation.
